Breathe in Bhutan with Joanne Varni and Jennifer Prugh
Join Breathe for the trip of a lifetime to the country of Bhutan; the world’s last remaining Buddhist kingdom with Jennifer Prugh and Joanne Varni! Bhutan is situated high in the Himalayas where the views of these majestic mountains, wild life, and plant life can be breathtaking.
Why would you want to go to Bhutan? In addition to it’s beauty, Bhutan is the most environmentally focused country in the world. Their country boasts 68% area of forest cover (compared to 33% in the US). Bhutan’s annual emission of CO2 per capita is around 0.2 ton as compared to the world average of 4.5 ton in 2004. We have so much to learn from this amazing country, it’s culture, and it’s example on what it means to be a part of the solution to creating a healthier world.
Bhutan has developed the philosophy of Gross National Happiness; where development is measured using a holistic approach of well being, not just based on gross domestic product. Sustainable socio-economic development and preservation and protection of the environment is the forefront of Government policy. The government’s high value-low volume” tourism policy limits the amount of tourists who can visit, and keeps foreign influences at bay, while nurturing the Bhutanese values giving Bhutan a look and feel different from any other country.
Each day while visiting this unique, beautiful, and happy country, we will practice yoga and then journey to see and experience what this great culture has to offer, including visiting dzongs, monasteries (the spectacular Paro Taktsang (Eagles Nest), as well as interacting with the happy and friendly Bhutanese people. We will also enjoy a special presentation on Gross national happiness, have lunch on a local farm, and receive a special Tibetan Blessing on our final day at Kichu Lhakhang.

Breathe Together Yoga in Vietnam and Cambodia
March 13, 2016-March 26, 2016
Join Jennifer Prugh and Joanne Varni for an action-packed yoga retreat to Vietnam and Cambodia, visiting some of the most spiritual and visually astounding places in the world. We created a special agenda that will allow us to experience these beautiful, historic, and sought after locations. While there, we will visit centuries-old towns and discover ruins of ancient civilization. By boat, we will enjoy the beauty of Hanoi Bay and the serenity of Trang An Grottoes. At Bakheng Mountain, we will climb 625 steps to where an ancient temple awaits us. We will experience arguably the most breath-taking sunrises and sunsets in the world, including the Spring Equinox sunrise over the Temples of Angkor. The Beng Melea Jungle Temple resides, literally, in a jungle including vines to swing on and lush green foliage at every turn. You will be able to take a swim beneath the waterfall on Kulen Mountain (the same waterfall Angelina Jolie swam in Tomb Raider), relax on the beaches of Hoi An Ancient Town, and stroll along the riverside at dusk to witness the old, colorful lanterns as they light up the town. Our journey will continue with a drive down the beautiful coast to Hue. We’ll wind down our adventure by riding in boats and exploring the Phang Nha Caves, which are some of the largest known caves in the world. Once we are back in Hanoi we will conclude or memorable trip with a visit to Hue Imperial Citadel and close our retreat with a delicious 6-course dinner.
